KYC UPGRADE - HOW TO UPGRADE YOUR KONGAPAY ACCOUNT

After a successful registration, you will be prompted to upgrade the following documents:

1. PROFILE PICTURE

How to upload: Upload a clear profile picture capturing your face only.

INVALID PROFILE PICTURES:

  • Unclear pictures
  • Full sized pictures
  • Slated pictures
  • Taking pictures sideways
  • Other images, blank images
  • Stylish postures
  • Black & white
  • Having a huge smile
  • Half-naked pictures
  • Wearign sunglasses
  • Picture with emojis or symbols

2. MEANS OF IDENTIFICATION

The 4 acceptable government issued ID cards are International Passport, Voter’s car, National ID card, and Driver’s license.

Ensure all details of the means of identification are inputted on the required field.

How to upload: Upload a clear valid means of Identification by taking a snap shot of the ID card in a well illuminated area and turn off your flash. All information on the ID card should be well captured.

INVALID MEANS OF IDENTIFICATION ARE:

  • Unclear ID card.
  • Flash reflection on the card.
  • Not capturing the full details on the card.
  • Snapping upside down.
  • Snapping in a slated position.
  • Faded ID card.

3. BVN

BVN numbers are 11 digits which is a compulsory field to transact and for an account upgrade.

4. Documentary Evidence of Address (UTILITY BILL)

Utility bill is a documented evidence of address verification which must be provided and should not be more than 3months. The acceptable utility bills are as follows: PHCN Receipt, Waste Receipt (LAWMA), Land Use Charge, Rent Receipt, Estate Due Receipt. All Receipts should show Customer’s name and a valid address. The address on the documentary evidence of address(utility bill) must be the same as the address used for opening this account(this registration process).

Ensure the same address on the bill is inputted on the field for Address Verification. The details to be captured are Street number, Street name, city, area, state etc.

How to upload: Upload a clear & recent utility bill showing the correct address on the KongaPay account.

INVALID UTILITY BILLS ARE:

  • Unclear utility bill.
  • Incomplete addresses on the KongaPay account.
  • No address on KongaPay account.
  • Old utility bill (more than 3months).
  • Utility bill address differs from KongaPay address.
  • Omitting the full address on the account.
  • Omitting the street number.
