Our Journey
Zinternet
In 2014, Konga Online Shopping Limited acquired Zinternet. The transaction was finalized upon consent from the Central Bank of Nigeria with Konga owning 100% of Zinternet’s assests, including its mobile money license.
With the acquisition of this mobile money license, Konga is poised to offer payment solutions to merchants on and off the Konga.com platform.
KongaPay
In 2014, KongaPay became the official mobile money platform of Konga, prompting updates to the logo, color scheme, and application. The customer app prioritized individual users, facilitating money transfers, bill payments, and more.
Meanwhile, the merchant platform catered to businesses, enabling bulk payments, while the agency platform focused on third-party withdrawals and bill payments.
KongaPay 2.0
In 2018, a merger occurred between Konga Online Shopping Limited and Yudala, resulting in a change in the brand's official color. This transition did not impact KongaPay until 2021, when a new logo was introduced along with updates to the application.
Fast forward to 2024, KongaPay launched new applications designed for individual customers and merchants.
