Overview
A Virtual Account (VA) is a bank account number generated by KongaPay and assigned to an incoming payment or a customer.
When a payer sends funds to that account number, KongaPay automatically identifies the virtual account, maps the payment to your settlement account, and notifies your system — eliminating the need for manual reconciliation.
What are Virtual Accounts for?
- Collecting payments for specific orders or invoices
- Assigning a unique account to each customer for recurring collections
- Automating reconciliation at scale without manual bank statement matching
Every virtual account sits on top of a real settlement account. When a payment is received, KongaPay maps the inflow to your settlement account and fires a callback to your webhook URL.
