KongaPay operates two completely separate platforms — Staging and Production. Each requires its own account registration and its own API keys issued by the KongaPay support team.
Complete your integration and testing on Staging before moving to Production.

Staging and Production are entirely separate platforms with separate accounts and separate API keys. Never use Production keys in your test environment, and never point a live system at the Staging API.
Step 1 — Test on Staging
1Staging Platform —The Staging platform is a fully functional environment for building and testing your Virtual Account integration. No real money moves. Use this environment for all development and QA.
- Register at staging-business.kongapay.com/signup
- Complete your business profile on the Staging platform
- Contact the KongaPay support team to request your Staging API keys
- Build and test all Virtual Account scenarios — successful payments, amount mismatches, cancellations, callbacks, and reconciliation
- Confirm all test scenarios pass before proceeding to Production
